Eric the Elephant Canvas Print

A printed block canvas of "Eric the Elephant". H 30 cm x W 13.5 cm.

These block canvas prints are printed on cotton canvas, stretched, matt giclee varnished and strung ready to hang.

I always start my paintings at the eyes of the creature, as I feel this is where you first make contact, and it has to be right, so best to start there.I started Eric and then was working my way out from the eye, and as I got to this point of the painting it suddenly said everything that I was trying to portray and say with this piece. Elephants are such feeling, wise and ancient creatures and I felt that whoever was looking into this eye would experience some of that, some of the elephant’s story, without the distraction of the rest of the body.
